Dreygan's Blessing

My first biological grandchild was blessed on May 22, 2011 in Devils Lake North Dakota.  Dreygan William Richard Anderson was blessed by President Marshall, president of the Lake Region Branch.  Dreygan was exactly five months old that day, so he was interested in what was going on and apparently enjoyed being bounced a little as the men held him.  He looked around and smiled at everyone - it was very charming.
His dad, mom, sister and grandmother were there for the event.  Dreygan was told he'd have many wonderful opportunities in his life, including a mission and temple marriage.  President Marshall has three little sons of his own, so he's had plenty of experience in boy blessings.
This was the first time that my son-in-law had attended church there, but he was welcomed warmly and had a nice conversation with a man he knew from last winter's adventure after Dreygan was born and the truck quit.  (This kind man drove a long way to Grand Forks to pick up the family, then waited while Dreygan was discharged from the hospital, drove all of them two hours north to their home and then had to hurry back to his own home 70 miles past Devils Lake in time to do all the morning chores the next day.  It was quite the trip on bad winter roads!)
After church we returned home and I realized I hadn't taken any photos at the church of the family.  These are a poor substitute for the vivid memories.  Dreygan wore a white satin jumpsuit with a white vest and was wrapped in a white afghan that I made for him.  Celestina wore her pink Easter dress.  It has a ruffled white sweater to go with it but she's used to North Dakota weather and didn't think it was necessary on such a nice day.  Me?  I wore a sweater.

That's quite the handsome name for such a handsome little man! Glad you got to attend. :)
