That's how long it's been since my first-born daughter went Home.
I miss her.
So many things have happened that make me automatically think, "I need to call Julia and tell her" and then I realize that she can't be reached by phone.
Without Julia, her sister is essentially an only child and I know that is hard for her.
Julia was a good older sister and different enough that there didn't seem to be a lot of sibling rivalry between them.
Julia attended BYU on a National Merit Scholarship, graduated and taught high school in Nevada.

Julia's greatest desire was to marry and have a family. She married Brent in the Mesa Temple on March 16, 2001. They honeymooned in Paris (their luggage arrived three days later), and were good friends as well as eternal companions. Her desire for babies of their own never happened. They were planning to spend Christmas 2006 in Arizona with Brent's family when she developed pneumonia and an xray showed a mass in her lung that was some rare form of non-smoker's lung cancer, stage 4. They gave her 6 months to live but she fought it for 18 months.![]() |

Silly Mommy. It wasn't a hamburger. It was a roast beef sandwich from Arby's.
