My Home Town

Our family moved to Riverton Wyoming when I was in the first grade and stayed there until my freshman year in college.
This was our first home - 118 East Jefferson
It had two bedrooms and a large fenced yard off to the right.

In 1956 Dad built this brick home in the fenced yard
320 South 2nd East

Dad worked for the Soil Conservation Service
and his office was in the basement of the post office.
You can see the stair railing along the edge of the building.

This building is no longer an LDS meetinghouse
but in 1952 it was a lovely chapel
and I was the first person to be baptized there.
Before that kids were baptized in the irrigation ditch.
