We very seldom miss church but we did today in order to attend the graduate level ceremony of Seattle University's commencement. Neal only has one niece and one nephew, and today niece Mileva received her Masters in Education in Student Development Administration. Almost sounds like a thesis instead of a major, and I don't know a lot about the program, except that she has been involved in helping students with various extracurricular (outdoor) activities. In fact, she is leaving on Tuesday for two weeks in Zimbabwe and Botswana on a service project. Amazing! Following the ceremony at Key Arena, Mileva and four friends who also received their masters degrees today had a BBQ and potluck on the beach at Alki. It was very nice and we enjoyed the chance to spend more time with them.
The photos show Mileva with her mom Lisa, then with her brother David and boyfriend Daryl, and a scenic view I like from the BBQ on Alki. The guys's hats were Mileva's idea - she also had Neal wear his polka dot Dr Seuss hat. That made it easy for her to find us in the crowd.
