One More Use for That Cleaner
Last weekend someone in a blue car drove past the driver's side front bumper of our van, leaving a lot of bright blue paint on the bumper and the headlight. We think it happened at Alki since that was the only time we parked in a drive-through handicap spot. Usually we park in spots where we have to back out upon leaving. Granted the turn onto the exit lane was very tight, but it's Alki and space is at a premium. Don't blame us - we were parked between the lines. Obviously being careful wasn't part of their exit. They didn't leave a note, just lots of paint. It looked terrible, but it didn't look like there were dents under the paint. Yesterday I got out the foam window cleaner again (described in the May 24th blog entry) and covered the paint. A few minutes later I used a green nylon scrubbie to wipe it off. The scrubbie took all the blue paint as well as a little of the gloss from the bumper, but a coat of wax has brought it back to almost normal. I really should write the company and tell them about all the uses for their product.
